Your MAN v FAT season, depending on how many teams your league has, will include a cup. However, the mystics to how it works, often is a mystery to players in the league. We’ve broken it down here so you can understand how it works and how you can win it. It’s not deeply mystical and you may already have guessed it, but it’s based off a mini league and final fixtures.
However, since the official MAN v FAT website doesn’t display the results of the league properly, then we’ll aim to do that for you here.
What Leagues Have a Cup?
So, you may have noticed there isn’t a cup on every MAN v FAT league. The cup is only available on leagues that have 3, 4, 6 and 10 teams. The cup helps us lengthen seasons so that they fall in line with having a “14 week season”.
How Does the Cup Work
OK, that’s why we’re here. Let’s explain it for you.
- The cup is a league of all teams in your club. You may play at the end of the season, some leagues also play it every 3 weeks. But it’s the same in all clubs, a mini league.
- You won’t get fixtures for cup final week until the last cup week has been played. As this is the deciding factor for the competition.
- The league is played exactly the same as the other fixtures, in respect that scales & pitch combinations decide the winner. However, it’s only based on the overall score not the pitch or scale like the league tables.
- The cup final week is made up from the following
– Teams 1st and 2nd will play for the cup final
– Teams below, will play the team below them (eg. 3 will play 4th, 5th play 6th etc..) - The cup final is usually the last fixture of the night. And the winner will be the cup winner.
What If There’s a Draw?
Draws on the night are settled with weight loss goals. If weight loss goals are equal, then a penalty shoot-out will determine the winner.
